An excerpt from the BBC's The Love School series on the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood.  Although dated , it captures Lizzie's simple unfussy dress and hair style, and reserved manner.  The incident of  William Holman Hunt pretending for a joke he had married Elizabeth did  take place much to her distress.  A furious Rossetti called it " a disgraceful hoax"

The complete series of BBC 1975 series The Love School was made available on DVD in 2019, and at time of update ( 2026) is still available for purchase on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Love-School-Complete-BBC-DVD/dp/B07NRKDZTF. The series was acclaimed for its historical accuracy of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood.  Not as historically accurate, but definitely more of a racy romp ,  the 2009 BBC series Desperate Romantics, based on Franny's Moyle's excellent book on the private lives of the Pre-Raphaelites, is available on DVD also.
